Are you ready to dive deep into mushroom cultivation? Want to get hands on time in a lab and working farm so that you walk away feeling confident in setting up and using your own lab and grow rooms at home? Welcome to the Bali Myco- intensive. Your choice of a 5 or 7 day course, combining well set-out theory with plenty of hands on action.

For those that want to learn ‘all the things’ about mushroom cultivation, medicinal mushrooms and myco-fabrication then the 5-day course is the one for you. If you want to take that knowledge and turn it into a business then sign up for the extra 2-day business intensive.

The 5 day will take place at ‘Kulture HQ’, Urban Kulture’s new education space in Ubud, Bali. We will teach mushroom cultivation in its most sustainable and eco-friendly form, without the use of one-off plastics, minimising output waste and repurposing waste from other business to grow mushrooms and myco-materials from.

If you want to Myco business mastermind we will be heading to Lembongan island, a 30min ferry ride from Bali, to enjoy some sun and surf whilst we get busy creating your personalised business plan.

Agar Work: recipes, pouring, transfers

Liquid Culture: recipes, transfers, syringes

Grain Spawn: Agar/LC to grain, grain to grain

Still Air Box work: practice your sterile tech

Laminar Flow hood work: practice and compare to a SAB

Pressure Cookers and Autoclaves

Fruiting Chambers: from little to big

Myco-Fabrication: Mycelium furniture and building materials

Medicinal Mushrooms: extraction techniques, properties and dosage

2 Day add on course:

Myco-business - Side hustle or full-time gig, we will help you personalise a sustainable business plan in the field of mycology that suits your budget and time commitment. We will run this 2 day session in an interctive mastermind style.

The 5 day course will be 75%+ hands on time in the labs. We will video your work to analyse and help improve your technique. You will walk away from this course with a complete set of knowledge covering all aspects of mushroom cultivation and the confidence to implement it.

Our lab has plenty of sterile work stations to practice your sterile technique so we won’t simply show you how to do things, you will get do all the things we show you, repeatedly, so the information and techniques start to become embodied practices, that, like riding a bike, will be remembered once you set up your own space.

We are limiting places to 10 people and 4 people are already booked in.

Cost for the course:

5 Day: $777 AUD

7 Day: $999 AUD

You can pay in full or you can make a deposit of $111 or $222 and pay the rest off before the start of the course!

There are now accommodation inclusive tickets available too. 6 nights at Bhuwana Hotel directly opposite Kulture HQ for the cultivation course and 2 nights at a TBD venue on Lembongan island.

10% of Ticket sales goes into a fund for providing cultivation equipment and education in sustainable mushroom cultivation for Balinese villages.
